Die BLACKEYE™ helmet camera is a high-tech mini video camera and comes as a set with an AIPTEK™ POCKET DV 8800 recorder as well as a 2GB SD-card.
For recording video, the helmet camera is connected to a separate recorder that is normally carried in a bag or backpack.

without requiring permanent or structural helmet modifications.

The BLACKEYE™ helmet camera uses its own battery pack for power supply.
Uses 8 regular AA batteries.
Either rechargeable batteries or single use batteries can be used.
The battery choice for this pack may seem very conventional at first sight,
but this type of battery is available as a standard worldwide.
This is particularly useful in remote regions where specialty batteries may be harder to find.
The BLACKEYE™ helmet camera operates in temperatures between -10°C and +50°C and is equipped with a 92° wide-angle lens.
